This Privacy Policy explains how Dudeu Team ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Dudeu mobile application and related services (the "Service").

The Service is intended for users who are at least 17 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17.

1) Summary of what we collect

Depending on how you use the Service and what permissions you grant, we may collect:

  • Information you provide: account information (name, username, email) and customer support content you send to us.
  • Information collected automatically: device information, usage data, crash logs, and performance diagnostics.
  • Location information (optional): approximate or precise location, only if you enable it in your device settings.
  • Photos and media (optional): photos you choose to upload or select for organizing your collection and for optional automated processing features.

Important: We do not use photos for face recognition or biometric identification, and we do not build biometric profiles.

2) Cookies and similar technologies

The Service may use cookies or similar technologies (including web beacons) for sign-in, maintaining your session, and remembering preferences. If web-based components are used, your browser may allow you to control cookies through settings. Some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

3) How we use information

  • Provide and operate the Service, including account creation and management.
  • Maintain and improve the Service, including debugging and analytics.
  • Personalize your experience, such as remembering preferences.
  • Support you and respond to your requests.
  • Secure the Service, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and lawful requests.

We do not sell personal information.

4) How we share information

We share information only when necessary and in the following situations:

  • With your consent: when you ask us to share or otherwise direct us to do so.
  • Service providers (processors): vendors that process information on our behalf to operate the Service, under contractual protections and our instructions.
  • Legal and safety: to comply with law or protect rights, property, and safety, including preventing fraud and security issues.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a corporate transaction, information may be transferred subject to appropriate protections.

We apply data minimization and share the minimum information necessary.

5) Optional automated image/text processing (AI-assisted features)

The Service may offer optional features that automatically analyze images or text you submit (for example, to help categorize accessories, extract item attributes, or generate organization suggestions).

  • User control: You decide whether to upload content for processing.
  • Processing location: Processing occurs on servers controlled by Dudeu Team.
  • No third-party sharing: We do not share your uploaded images or text with any third party for these features.
  • No training / no marketing: We do not use your uploaded images or text to train third-party models or for advertising.
  • Deletion: Content is used one-time for the requested output and deleted promptly after processing (subject to short-term technical buffering and security logging).

If you do not use these features, your content remains on your device by default, unless you choose to sync or upload content as part of other Service features.

6) Photos, face data, and biometric information

  • No face recognition: We do not perform face recognition or biometric identification.
  • One-time processing: Optional automated processing is performed only to generate the requested result.
  • Default storage: Photos and related content are intended to be stored locally on your device by default.
  • No training/marketing: We do not use your photos for training third-party models or for marketing.

7) Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including:

  • Encryption in transit and (where appropriate) at rest
  • Access controls and least-privilege policies
  • Regular audits and monitoring
  • Backups and recovery procedures

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8) Data retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active.
  • Account deletion: upon account deletion, we delete or anonymize within 30 days, subject to legal/security needs.
  • Usage/analytics: retained up to 12 months (often aggregated or de-identified where feasible).
  • Customer support: retained up to 6 months.

9) Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Location permission can be enabled or disabled in your device settings at any time.

10) International data transfers

Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.

11) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Effective Date above indicates when it was last updated. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the Service or by other appropriate means.

12) Dispute resolution

Disputes relating to this Privacy Policy are governed by the laws of Dudeu Team’s principal place of business (excluding conflict of law rules) and resolved through binding arbitration, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
